off to MD Anderson

"May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you." Psalm 20:1
We are about ready to leave for MD Anderson this AM. Katrina's antibiotic IV is about done and we're packed. This time we have a good idea of what to pack:) Katrina will go to the out patient clinic, have blood work done and see Dr. Kantarjian and get a bone marrow done then be admitted for Course 2 of chemotherapy. I am glad she is sleeping this AM. Our night was disruptive with GI upset and she was up frequently. Pray for insight for her GI doctors into how she is progressing. Our prayer, as we have requested is that this Course #2 of chemo will go smoothly, without adverse affects on her body. Thank you for praying for her over this coming next week. I was sent a special Psalm by a dear friend and have prayed it again this AM for Katrina. Please join my in putting Katrina's name into Psalm 20. It is a prayer for a king before he goes out to battle a threatening force. Katrina is battling Burkitt's and needs our prayer covering. We so appreciate each of you and your love for her. Louis or I will update you this evening. Lori

  2. "Welcome to MD Anderson, Houston Texas. This fight is promotions of the world of cancer. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the main event. This main event is scheduled for 8 rounds in the featherweight division. And now the warriors of tonight's fight. LET'S GET READY TO RRRRRRRUUUUMMMBBBLEEE! Right in the blue corner wearing something other than pink, weighing in at a little less than when she started a month ago, with a current record of 1 win and no losses after the first round, from Katy Texas it's Katrina Yang! (And the crowd goes wild!) And her opponent, fighting out of the red corner weighing in at A LOT less powerful than when the fight started, with a current record of no wins and one loss to Katrina in the first round, it's Leukemia. (Boo!) And now, it's time for Round 2 to begin. Ding! Ding! Ding!"

Katrina, we're praying that Round 2 of this "fight" is a lot easier than the first, on your emotions, your health, your body, your family, everything!

Louis, we're praying for you as you return to work. Remember that she's in good hands (the best to be exact) and that she's being lifted up in prayer all day long, all over the country.

Lori, we're praying for you as you didn't get a lot of time to "recover" from your first stay at the hospital with her. Let me know when you're ready for a salad (or some snacks to keep in the room). I'd be more than happy to deliver it to you!

Steve, praying for you as you are away from your wife and daughter!

Praying for all of you as Round #2 begins.

We are praying for you (comfort, no side effects, decreased pain, increased appetite, rest, HIS peace), for the doctors (wisdom & knowledge), & for Lori and Louis (strength, comfort, rest, guidance, HIS peace, support).

"May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you." Psalm 20:1

"The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged." Deut. 31:8

    Warmly,
    Wendy

  9. 1Peter 5:10 says:
BUT MAY THE GOD OF ALL GRACE, WHO IS CALLED US TO HIS ETERNAL GLORY BY CHRIST JESUS, AFTER YOU HAVE SUFFERED A WHILE, PERFECT, ESTABLISH, STRENGTHEN AND SETTLE YOU.

I got down on my knees this morning, as I have done so many times, and asked God to give you strength and healing.

Matthew 21:22 says And all things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.

    Love you,
    Nancy McMillan
