bummer

Today has been rough for Katrina. She has not wanted to eat and she is continuing to loose weight. My mom has been monitoring her blood pressure and pulse all day and it has been high. My mom used to be a nurse before Katrina was born so she is very good at doing blood pressure readings. My mom finally decided to call the hospital and talk to a nurse because of her high pulse. Mom talked to two nurses and they both thought Katrina should come to the hospital and get checked out. Early this evening my mom and Louis took Katrina to the emergency room at MD Anderson. When they got there Katrina got hungry and ate half a cheeseburger! Her blood pressure and heart rate were both slightly better when they were checked at the hospital. They were doing tests when I talked to my mom and I don't know any results yet.

Please pray that Katrina would want to eat. I guess chemo can have an effect even on your taste buds. Please pray that food starts sounding and tasting good to her. Pray that they figure out why her heart rate is so high and that they can get her blood pressure under control so she can go home and rest before she gets checked back in on Monday to start her 2nd round of chemotherapy.
thanks, erica

  2. "Because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is your faithfulness, I say to myself, The Lord is my portion, therefore I will wait for him." Lamentations 3:22-26

Praying God will see you through this obstacle and pour out his love and compassions on you and your family.
    We love you!

  4. Katrina,
Jenny just told me the news. I can not even imagine what you are going through. I will be praying for you (and I'll get my prayer warriors on this too). God only gives us what we can handle so you must be one incredible woman of God.
When things get tough think back to our Stars days. From last place to first place. A team nobody thought had a chance became victorious! I know with God's help you will be victorious again.

    Love In Him,
    Lisa Marie
