Wednesday

"He Himself is our peace." Ephesians 2:14

Today started with a trip to Dr. Hsu's office for blood work. I still cannot get over how nice it is to be able to do some of the blood work in Katy... we were home by 9:30 (and I am talking a.m. not p.m.!). My hemoglobin counts are still low and I was really tired when we got home so I took a nap until lunch. I am sure you are all thinking, "Wow, that sounds nice... wake up at 7:15 take a nap at 10:00 until lunch..." I would have been thinking the same thing about 3 months ago! I tend to get a little more energy back after eating, but never really got too active today. Dinner was a rather entertaining time tonight as Erica decided to give Clara peas for the first time. Being the ever so smart child she is, she hated them! My mom just couldn't figure out how a baby that puts everything in her mouth sealed her lips tight every time she came close with that spoon. Although the face she made was hilarious, I finally took the spoon from my mom to put Clara out of her misery and got her some banana. I was more than happy to have her eat some of those bananas... less for me! Side note, my potassium levels have been normal so I guess the bananas do help :) I also had some friends come over tonight which always puts me in a better mood. My wonderful friends Kyndra and Brian (the best bargain hunters you will ever meet) got us an amazing deal on a new dishwasher and Brian was kind enough to come over to install it. Kyndra came over too with Jackson and it was so funny to watch Clara interact with him. Kristy came over too to watch the Biggest Loser with me. I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends!

Please continue to pray for my blood counts, especially my hemoglobin level and how it affects my energy level and how I feel. Also, that there will be no infection with my PICC line. That being said, back by popular demand, here are a few pictures.
Many friends asked if we needed to borrow toys for Clara... nope. We just got out some tupperware and the easter eggs and she is one happy camper.
This is Clara eating peas... unfortunately we weren't able to catch her best faces, but please notice there is so much food on her face because she would not allow into her mouth. The bananas went over much better.
Clara couldn't keep her eyes off Louis when he was taking pictures of her. She would take a bite quick then turn to look at him and smile. She is quite the character!

  1. Just sent you a couple of books today. You should get them Monday. I can't believe I just gave away ALL my Lori Wick books a couple of months ago...I had every one she had ever written! I will send a bunch more with Muj and then she can just bring home the ones you have read. So glad you are enjoying your time with Erica and Clara...I'm sure Grandma is thrilled, too! :)

  6. I am loving reading your post! I am so happy your strength is up and you have been adventuring out! I shared with Landri that you were up at Sampson and were "spying" on the class and her eyes got HUGE, it was so cute!
Landri is a little under the weather today with a sinus infection but will be back at school tomorrow now that we have meds. I love seeing the pictures, keep them coming. Have a wonderful evening and our continued prayer is all your levels are great to start round 3 on Monday!
    Continually praying,
