day 9...

"Every highway of life descends into the valley now and then. And everyone must go through the tunnel of tribulation before they can travel on the high road of triumph." (from Streams in the Desert)

Katrina was able to have her blood labs done in Katy today. As expected, her counts are quite low. After a few days we'll start to see them climb again- next week should be much better for her. Please pray that her platelet count is high enough to get chemo on Friday at MD Anderson out-patient. She continues to have headaches although today it wasn't constant. The other problem she is having is the neuropathy in her hands & it is bothering her more. That is from a chemo drug, Vincristine. And that is the one she will get again on Friday much to her dismay:(
Please pray for the headaches to cease, her platelet count to not drop much or at all, her hands to not bother her so much, and for good health while her blood counts are so low. We appreciate each prayer offered to the Lord on Katrina's behalf!! Lori

  1. Returned from Decorah and the beautiful bluffs and streams of NE Iowa, and saw my Mother Grace. She continues to pray for your well being. Dear God, bless Katrina and may her headaches stop and her health be well for further treatment. Bless her family.

"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the Glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us." Romans 5:1-5
