ready for course #3

"He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you." Isaiah 30:19
"Be specific in your prayer life. Pray for what you need." Chuck Swindoll

Katrina is getting her pre-chemo IV meds right now and will soon begin her first chemo drug. (the nurse just started it) So, if you are still awake tonight- please pray with us for the chemo to go well tonight with no adverse reactions tonight or over the next 4-5 days. She has a sweet nurse tonight, Lyndsey, who has been her night nurse before. Pray for her tonight too:)
I wanted to add to Katrina's note today about the blessing we have of meeting other leukemia patients in the waiting room at the Leukemia Center. This AM we met Don, his wife and adult son. Don has been the Pastor of a local Baptist church for 40 years. Over that time, he told us he has visited numerous parishioners at MD Anderson. Recently he was being treated for pneumonia and it was discovered he has leukemia and is now the patient. He was admitted to another area, but we are praying for him as he is praying for Katrina. We shared with them the first verse we memorized, Deuteronomy 31:8, The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged." They appreciated that Scripture - it fits for whatever you are going through so I thought it would be worth putting on the blog again to help us keep our eyes on the Lord instead of difficult circumstances. Thanks for being prayer partners with us!! Lori

  2. I'm up tonight and just hopped on to see what the day brought for you. Seeing your smiling face brings tears to my eyes - God is doing some amazing work in you, and it is evident.

I've been dwelling on this verse tonight - not sure how it pertains to you, but thought I'd share it anyway.

"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word." Hebrews 1:3

May his word continue to sustain you tonight, these next few months, and forever more.

    love,
    Kali
