Spring Sprint

"Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice."
1 Chronicles 16: 8-10

Some of the teachers and PTO at Louis' school organized a Spring Sprint that was held today as a Fundraiser to help us with some of our medical expenses. There were several race start times during the morning and other activities for the kids. The organizers of this event went all out, there was a cake walk, huge inflatable slide, face painting, carnival type games, a fire truck came (and even let kids spray the hose to knock down cones), video games, a DJ who provided entertainment, food from Chick-fil-A (one of my favorites!), and the run itself of course! I was able to see several of my students which was much needed! We also have had several students set up lemonade stands to raise money for us. We couldn't be more blessed as teachers to be at the schools we are at working with the wonderful kids that we do. Again, we are overwhelmed by the support of so many people that we know and some we don't know.

Tomorrow we go to MD Anderson to have my PICC line checked and to be honest, I am worried about it. I haven't had pain like the nurse made it sound like I would have if the infection got worse, but my arm just hasn't been feeling right today. Please pray that there is not an infection tomorrow and that we can figure out a dressing that works for me.

Ready to head to the spring SprintMy WONDERFUL friends Kyndra and Kristy supporting us by walking
*Love you both... and hope you still love me after putting up this picture! :)*
One of the amazing families from my class all sporting their Yang's Gang shirts and ready to walk. They are such a blessing to me!!!How I have missed this cute little thing... the whole day was great, but nothing was better than seeing my students!

Chatting with one of my sweet students (I have never seen my students so quiet! I have obviously been gone too long!). Also, notice the cups with flowers that I am holding. One of my little girls and her brother decorated the cups for me and brought me flowers. How could you not love being a Kindergarten teacher???

***If anyone else has pictures from today that they wouldn't mind me putting on the blog, please send them my way! Thanks!
