"The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and His ears are attentive to their cry." Psalm 34:15
I LOVE it when my counts are up and I get to get out of the house for a while. To be completely honest, there have been a few times I feel like I am in a nursing home when I can't get out. The best stop that I got to make was to visit some of my favorite people in the world that I have not seen in way too long. The Kindergarten team at school won a pizza party so their lunch duties were covered, this meant that they would all be in the same place at the same time. I couldn't pass up the opportunity so my sister and I snuck up there to visit. My sister now understands exactly why I LOVE my co-workers so much... I am sure this is no surprise, but Pam and Ann-Marie were the ones that stood our to her after the visit, haha! It killed me to be there and not stay to see my class, but envisioning what my doctor would have said made me leave before they came back to class. However, I did spy on them from the parking lot coming in from recess and was very happy to see them all following directions! We then even went to Target, boy how I have missed that store or really any store for that matter. By that time I was ready to rest so we went home to hang out and watch Clara. Later we took Clara on a walk or as my mom asked Clara, "Do you want to take Aunt Trina on a walk?" It is so much fun having Erica and Clara here!
Today was an appointment free day which is always a nice treat, but I do have a HUGE prayer request. I decided to get down the calendar and actually map out the rest of my treatment to see when I will be done. The first time I did it I skipped a month accidentally and was devastated to see when I would be done. Luckily, I realized I had made a mistake... if we truly stick to the 3 week treatment schedule with no delays I will be finished with my last course the day before the first professional work day of the school year. I cannot tell you how badly I want to be able to start the school year next year (and I am sure my team wants that too!). So here it goes, the schedule of start dates we are praying for:
Course 3- April 19th
Course 4-May 10
Course 5- May 31
Course 6- June 21
Course 7- July 5 (can you think of a better way to spend your anniversary???)
Course 8- July 26
DONE!!!!
I will leave you with a few pictures since that was such a hit last time :)
P.S. We would love it if you leave your name when you comment or if you have a common name maybe at least a last initial. We love to hear from you!

Target is the best! If you feel up to it, come to Sampson the next (and last) time we have planning this year. We have special celebration treat for everyone-including you, of course. :-) We are praying for you!

What a great day! Praise the Lord for the little blessings! I'm sure it made you feel 10x better! I'll be praying the schedule goes off without a hitch!
ReplyDeleteSee ya soon! :)
Weg!
What fun pictures and that Clara is too yummy for words. Probably best that you didn't stick around to see your class today. They would have tackled you with all the hugs they could have mustered up. Thanks for putting out the schedule. I will be praying that this will be God's schedule as well. Praying that you will be able to start the school year next year. So glad you were able to spend time with your friends today, I know that was a treat for them. Also glad that Louis got to spend some time alone playing video games, boys need that precious time (seriously, no sarcasm here). Praying we will not be anxious but rejoicing in all the blessings He bestows.
ReplyDeleteWith continued prayer,

It makes me happy to see all of you together! :) I'm praying for you all the time!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics...it's so cute how Clara's little chunky leg is up in the air on some of them. Trina, you look so cute in your scarves...always darling! I was also cracking up picturing you sneaking to school; it reminded me of when our girls dressed up as boys with you at Northwestern! Did you draw a mustache on, too??! hehe :)
ReplyDeleteIt is such a blessing for me to see just how much you are loved...as I said before, it doesn't surprise me, just blesses me!
Love you, girl!
Jodi
Okay - so is standing out a good thing or a bad thing??? We LOVED seeing you today. It was the highlight of our day, and getting to hug Erica's neck and meet her in person was such a treat! Keep being sassy. I'll write my letter to your start dates soon. ha ha

On Eagles Wings
ReplyDeleteYou who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,
Who abide in His shadow for life,
Say to the Lord, "My Refuge,
My Rock in Whom I trust."
And He will raise you up on Eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand.
Go to raptorresource.com, Luther cameras, Eagle logo, Eagle box, black screen arrow, and then see live with sound an adult Eagle caring for three newly hatched baby Eagles. They are at the Decorah, Iowa Hatchery just outside Decorah, Iowa. It's a beautiful spot among the bluffs surrounding Decorah next to the Trout streams. It's where your Grandma Leona was raised. The young will stay until they finally have the courage to leave the nest. It's an amazing sight. God speed, Katrina, and family.

I'm so glad that you are doing better! It's so awesome to hear. I will be praying that things go according to plan, and that more healthy-enough-for-Target trips are in your future (it might be my favorite store). Also, thanks for the pictures, it's fun to see you three together. Love, Lexie
ReplyDeletePS: Is there address that people who want to send goodies to you from far away can do that? Maybe I'm daft, but I went on the hospital website and I can't figure it out :)
Oh so wonderful to see all four of you girls together and out for a walk, God is good! Keeping you all in our prayers and knowing God has a perfect plan and purpose, give your mom a kiss for me and tell her I sure miss her!

Katrina,
ReplyDeleteHey, Rock Star! Two diffferent people came up to me today and said they were jealous that I(we) got to see you yesterday. You're more famous than you think! I would have felt the same way if the tables were turned.
I'm still smiling. It was WONDERFUL to see you in person. Your visit is STILL making my day.
Love,
Pam Lopez
PS. It was fun hearing about TeemeeCUUla. Sounds like a perfect place to grow up. Please thank Erica for the shout out!

Katrina, it was SO awesome to see you yesterday! You looked AMAZING!!! I can't believe the difference between yesterday and the day I saw you during spring break! It's incredible want "good counts" can do for you, right?!?!?
ReplyDeleteIt felt like old times with the team together.
Yes...I understand about a few "standing out" in the crowd! I'm sure Erica had lots to
say! :)

Sorry to hear that I missed you at Sampson, but knowing that you were able to get together with all your team made doing lunch duty the best part of the day!!! So happy to hear that you are feeling well enough to get out and about. Keep following those doctor's orders and I hope to see you soon.
ReplyDeleteKaren Lyon
So fun to hear that you have been out and about and even made a surprise trip to Sampson. I know the kids would have loved to see you --- but they probably would have knocked you to the ground with all their excitement. Better to view from afar :) We continue to pray. Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power...
ReplyDeleteThanks Mrs. Yang for your picture w/the big smile. Ashley was delighted to see the pic so I couldn't immagine what would happen to you if you came to class. Ashley asked me if Mrs.Yang's coming back when her hair grow back next year. She even get to see your schedule, so we are praying that you will be able to start the school when it start in August.
