In God's hands

"The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to Him and are safe" Proverbs 18:10

There are so many Scriptures that minister to us on a daily basis! We are grateful for the strong hands of our Lord and the safety we find there. We felt the prayer support in special ways today. The blood work today in Katy showed Katrina's ANC in the normal range and her WBC on the high end:) Her hemoglobin was down a bit from Friday but we didn't get a call from the doctor so he must feel she is fine for now and no blood transfusion was needed. He will be checking the blood again Wednesday. She seems to have energy and we walked today both at MD Anderson and in the neighborhood when we got home. The AM went incredibly efficiently - good time to be on the freeways, we got right in for the Chronic Pain appointment and she will likely not need to be evaluated by them again as far as needing a specialist. The one medication she's on works well for her neuropathy in her jaw and hands. She has been off narcotic pain meds since course one ended and we are thankful for that. We went early to the Infusion Unit and got insight on the dressing for her CVC. There was some cleaning at the insertion site that needed to be done and the RN wants her to come back on Sunday for it to be looked at and changed again. Please pray there is not any infection! She did change the type of tape that should be more suitable for Katrina.
Erica and Clara came today and it is already so much fun having them here. Clara is doing so much more than she was a couple of months ago. We were completely entertained by her this evening! Lori
