A Day Without Appointments

"Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens." Psalm 68:19

Today my mom and I were a little unsure of what to do with ourselves since I did not have any appointments today. It is amazing how much more time we are going to have with being able to do some blood work in Katy. My mom made great use of her time cleaning things that I haven't touched in well... maybe never. She cleaned the top of the fridge and cabinets, basically all the things I wouldn't do :) On the flip side, I spent most of the day on the couch. My hemoglobin was low yesterday, but not low enough for a transfusion as my doctors are trying to be conservative. I haven't been feeling the affects of low hemoglobin until today. Tomorrow morning we will go back to Dr. Hsu's office in Katy (hooray!) for more blood work... if my hemoglobin is lower than yesterday I will more than likely need a blood transfusion. If that is the case we will be able to go over to Memorial Herman Hospital in Katy. Although it may end up taking the day, it will be a lot less tiring than going to MD Anderson. Please continue to pray that all my blood counts are where they need to be by the 19th so I will be able to start Round 3 on time.

I also got an e-mail that everyone at school was wearing their Yang's Gang shirts today so we decided to join in the fun. Thanks to everyone who has supported us through buying shirts and sharing your pictures. We love to see them!

    "The King of Love my Shepherd is,
    Whose goodness faileth never;
    I nothing lack if I am His,
    And He is mine forever."

    I'm going to see my Mother Grace in Decorah

  22. Seeing you with your shirts on makes me want to share a quick story with you. My daughter, who's a JR, wore her shirt to Cy-Falls this week. During lunch an AP told her she couldn't wear the t-shirt because Cy-Falls doesn't support gangs. Kylie explained the story behind the shirt, but the AP's response was still the same. So, she through a sweatshirt on over her Yang's Gang shirt. Don't worry, that won't stop her from wearing it, but I must say, I think the response was a bit ridiculous!

    Glad to see your smiles!
