"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord you God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior."
Isaiah 43: 2-3
I have never enjoyed packing (ask anyone... my sister, friends from college, husband, etc) and packing to go to the hospital for chemo, not very motivating. Thankfully as I head to the hospital I will not be going alone. The verse above gives me peace that the Lord will be with me not just as we go to the hospital, but through every single minute of round 3. Tomorrow morning we will head to MD Anderson for my 9:15 blood work appointment. I will then see Dr. Kantarjian at 11:15 to go over my labs and make sure that everything is where it needs to be for me to start chemo. From there the waiting game begins. Dr. Kantarjian will send the orders for me to be admitted and we will check in with admissions. Once we check in and my paper work is processed we wait for a room to open up (there are two leukemia floors and we have only been on the 12th floor... we are praying that we end up there again because we LOVE the nurses there!). Once I am in the room chemo is ordered, pharmacy gets it ready, and in a not so speedy process it makes its way to my nurse. When I went in for round 2, my chemo didn't start until 11:00 pm. All this to say that tomorrow will be a long day for us all. I covet your prayers not only for a long day tomorrow, but also that round 3 would go smoothly without any complications. The sooner I am able to get home, the faster I will gain back my strength and just be more comfortable. Thanks so much for your prayers!

You not like packing, no way! :) Haha.
ReplyDeleteI will be thinking of you and praying for you that tomorrow will go well and that everything starts on schedule. Your strength and faith through this amazes me each day! Keep pushing onward, you are doing awesome!
Love ya,
Sara
We are sending up so many prayers today. Trip wanted me to tell you that it is my fault that he can't wear his Yang's Gang t-shirt today because I haven't washed it yet. He also wants me to tell you that he will be thinking and praying for you all week because he knows it won't be an easy week for you, but he wants you to get well very soon. I hope you and your family know that you are not alone and we are right by your side whenever you need anything at all.

I hate packing, too! Praying for you, and wanted you to know that your URL pops up first on my list of sites, so everytime I use the internet I see your URL and am reminded to pray!
