Psalm 20:7-8
The waiting game continues as we knew that it would before we came in today. My mom and I are in my room (on the 12th floor!) watching Dancing With the Stars waiting for my chemo to get here. My doctor and his nurses were impressed to see how strong I have gotten and how well I am doing when we met with them this morning. In fact my doctor was so impressed he is giving me the full dosage of all the chemo meds, expect for one which he is decreasing to make sure I handle it better than last time. After we met with my doctor, we waited for my admission orders then headed down to be checked in. After another lengthy period of waiting we found out that we would be on the 12th floor again. As soon as the lady told us my mom cheered and threw her hands in the air and the lady said, "I take it you know where that is." My response, it is our home away from home. It may seem like a small thing, but to walk onto the floor and have everyone stop what they are doing to say they are glad to see us and ask how I am doing makes being here so much easier! As one of the nurses said, we aren't just friends anymore, we are family. Please continue to pray that this round of chemo goes smoothly and that I can be discharged by Friday or Saturday.

This post makes me happy. I love seeing you so strong and happy, and I'm sure everyone there was just as excited to see how well you are doing! That picture of you and Louis is awesome. So fun. Praying that your body will handle the chemo smoothly and that you won't be down and out for long this time! We have baking to do! :)

I'm smiling from ear to ear. And then I realize, that only you, going through chemo, could actually make someone smile about it. How the heck are you so awesome?
ReplyDeleteAnd Louis and your Mom.....how lucky can one girl be?? Seriously....
Love to you all,
Shannon Poole and family
So thrilled you are on the 12th floor again, there's one answer to one of many prayers. I'm so glad that the nurses are like family to you now. You and Louis are too cute in the bed together, this is one of my favorite pics so far. Praying your smile doesn't fade this week. Praying for zero complications and that you are out of there by Friday.
ReplyDeleteOn my knees for you,
Jacque Hardy and Family

"There is no one like you, O Lord, and there in no God but YOU." 1 Chronicles 17:20
Praise the Lord for the 12th floor! Thank goodness HE is in control and not us! :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying that the chemo starts sooner rather then later so you can get the heck out of there!!!
Dancing with the Stars was good tonight...who was your favorite?? What am I gonna do without my buddy for Biggest Loser???
Love you!!

P.S. You rock the scarf WAY better then me!!!!
Love the picture! Praying that the chemo is starting soon, if not already and that it runs and runs and you can be out of there in no time! I'll be praying that you will be able to get a little sleep as I assume they will be checking you often after it starts. Rest well tonight friend!

We've been praying for your chemo daily! So glad to see you smiling. Louis better watch out sitting next to you in bed....sometimes they come in the middle of the night and poke the wrong person (we know from experience). Hehe. We love you, sweet friend!
