"How great are his signs, how powerful his wonders! His kingdom will last forever, his rule through all generations."
-Daniel 4:3
Again I find myself apologizing for the lack of updates recently. You would think with nothing to do, I would post everyday. Vincristine is one of the chemo meds that I get in the odd courses that has given me trouble in the past (refer to course 1). Due to all the side affects, I have never received the full dose, until this round. Without too much detail, I have had some pretty uncomfortable and painful side effects the past few days that have pretty much had me camped out on the couch. Things have been a little better today, but tomorrow we get up bright and early for my last day of outpatient chemo for this round... vincristine. I will do blood work in the morning and meet with a PA for a review. I am hoping that they will want to chat with Dr. Kantarjian about possibly lowering my dose since I have had some issues. Please pray that tomorrow goes well and that my body will tolerate whatever dosage I need to get. I just keep telling myself this is the last time I will have to get vincristine (yippee!). The best news is that now that we are into August I can say that this will all be behind me THIS MONTH!!! Sometimes I never thought the day would come... so to all of you wishing these next weeks would stretch out and summer would stay longer, sorry... I have other plans :)

Hi Katrina,
ReplyDeleteWe are praying that you don't experience bad side effects this round and for perseverance to finish all this treatment up. Since your Mom knew she was staying in Houston this time, did she remember to pack her boots and Wranglers? She will probably be ready to teach your Dad the two-step by the time she returns to Temecula.
