Arm Art

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
-Jeremiah 29:11
And this my friends is what happens when you scratch your arm and only have 14 platelets! I just gently scratched my arm and looked down to see the damage that I did. On the up side my platelets have increased since Friday... please pray they will continue to go up on their own without another transfusion this week. My white count was also up to .8! Still very low, but higher than we expected. Today was a fairly typical day... doctor in the morning, tv, lunch, more tv, short walk, more tv... I can't wait to get out of the house!

On another note, I was on Facebook tonight and saw that one of my old professors had posted about a NWC grad that died this week. He was diagnosed with leukemia just last week. When I was diagnosed, I don't think that any of us realized how quickly this cancer can take over a person's body. I am reminded of how thankful I am for Dr. Hsu and his quick diagnosis along with the staff of MD Anderson for starting my treatment so quickly. Please keep this family in your prayers, he left behind a wife and kids.
