-Phillipians 3:8
Today I received my last dose of vincristine! So far the side effects have been minimal, but the next couple days will tell how my body tolerates it. The good news is that I did get a new prescription that is helping with some of the side effects I have been having. Thank goodness for medicine. We were surprised to see that my hemoglobin took a nose dive since Friday. Today my hemoglobin was only 6.9 which is considered critical low so I received two units of blood (that's the two units in). Since we had so much time on our hands with me getting chemo and blood both Louis and my mom decided that they would each go donate a unit of blood at the MD Anderson blood bank. We have all realized the importance of donating blood and how it truly does save lives, so I know they were both happy to have time to go over and donate. Please continue to pray for my counts as they are rock bottom. My white count is a grand zero so we have to be very careful. My platelets are hanging in there so far, but they will probably continue to go down for a while before they go back up.

"My soul finds rest in God alone;
ReplyDeletemy salvation comes from Him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation;
He is my fortress, I will never
be shaken."
Psalm 62:1-2
Katrina, we all admire your great courage. Keep up the good work and stay strong.
God bless you.
