"My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." 2 Corinthians 12:9
Katrina was discharged from MD Anderson yesterday late morning. She had quite a send off from her last hospital stay as so many nurses and staff gathered to tell her goodbye and share in her happiness at the completion of chemo. (One of us even got teary as we thanked them for their care and support over the past 7 months!) Her kind neighbor, Becky, drove in to pick us up from the hospital since Louis is back at work now. Katrina felt pretty good yesterday and the body aches weren't too bad. She had a good nap then got together with some friends last night. She will now go into a more secluded lifestyle for the next couple of weeks to protect herself from infection, fever, and illness as her blood counts are already likely dropping and her immune system will be way down. Physically she is not feeling well today and is sleeping a lot which is good for her right now. She is moving slowly due to the body aches from chemo. All this is slightly easier though knowing she is going through these symptoms for the last time. Please pray as you remember her over the next two weeks for health and healing. blessings, Lori

Hi, Lori, so glad you are there with Katrina right now. We have been praying for healing all along and will continue to do that. May God bless your family in these next two weeks, especially.
ReplyDeleteHi, Katrina, it's almost flu season, so be extra careful. It's been a long process, but you did it! Stay well.
