"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
-Lamentations 3:22-23
Today I went to Dr. Hsu's office to do blood work. I was thrilled to see that my platelets went up by 10 just from yesterday! They were 39, so I am hoping the trend of 10 a day continues and I would be set for a Monday admission. We still never know, but this is sure a step in the right direction. After the doctor Louis and I stopped by my old school and I was able to visit with some wonderful people that I really miss. We also went out and got some frozen yogurt after dinner tonight... I love having a decent white count so I can be a semi-normal person for a while. I would appreciate your prayers for my platelets to keep going up so I am ready for admission Monday. It also may seem like a small thing, but I really want to be on the 12th floor for my last round since those nurses are so special to me. Please pray that the day I am admitted there is a room for me there!
Also, I would love for you to lift up a sweet little girl Maren who is battling leukemia. Her mom is the cousin of my sister's good friend. She is having complications due to the strong chemo she has gotten (many of the chemo drugs I have received). You can read about her battle at

So happy the platelet count is rising. What great news! Our prayers go out for Maren and that there would be a cure for cancer.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you both.
