Sunday

"Thank You, Holy Spirit, that I don't need to be in control to battle cancer- I just need to be controlled by You."
-Lynn Eib

When my mom and I were out and about one day we found a book titled Praying Through Cancer in a bargain book section. Since it was a bargain we of course had to get it and it has turned out to be a real encouragement to me. Different woman who have battled cancer share a short blurb about their experience with cancer, a prayer, and some verses to look up. The last sentence of today's prayers is the quote I started this entry with... definitely a sentence I need to add to my prayers! Things have remained pretty low key (again a great thing!), my hemoglobin was a bit low today so my doctor decided to just give me a unit of blood today to "tank me up" for when my counts drop. I was thankful for that so I didn't have to stay longer tomorrow to get blood. I am almost done with chemo for this round. I will get my last dose of chemo at 1:15 am so it should be done around 3:15 am. Tomorrow morning we will go through the last bits of discharge paper work and be on our way home! I will come back on Wednesday for my second lumbar puncture for this round and hopefully Sheena will be available to come down and do it again for me. Please pray for her availability on Wednesday afternoon!

  1. Katrina,
We are so thankful that you are nearing the end of Round 6! You continue to be an amazing testimony of God's grace and love as you are going through this journey! We'll continue to pray! Can't wait for the day that you are finished with your last round of chemo. We'll be cheering you on, up here in Nebraska!
