"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith."
-Hebrews 12:2
Today was fairly non-eventful, which is not a bad thing here in the hospital. I had a "float pool" nurse today and really liked her. She was pretty funny and just said things how they were. I did some reading, walking, watched some TV, and chatted with the nurses and staff when they weren't too busy. I absolutely love everyone here on the 12th floor and am so thankful to be back where I have established relationships with the staff. There were some delays today in getting my blood work done this morning. That is a bummer because my next chemo could not be ordered until my blood levels were back. The first chemo drug that I was given is very toxic so the levels of what is still in your system need to be monitored very carefully. Luckily, my levels were low so they could order the next chemo, however, there were delays with that as well. The chemo did not get here until 1:15 and it runs every 12 hours for 2 hours 4 times. This means I will not be done with chemo until at least 3:15 am on Monday morning. A Sunday night discharge would have been nice, but Monday morning isn't horrible. I am still feeling pretty good, just a little tired. I have also not gotten body aches and hope that continues, if you would pray that the aches stay away I would appreciate it. Thank you so much for your prayers and encouraging words, you are a blessing to me in a difficult time!

ReplyDeleteI think of that often as a read your blog. I pray that you continue to have the patience that is necessary to get you through these next couple treatments with your beautiful smile intact. Cathy
