Day 1- Round 6

"But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold."
-Job 23:10

This morning I met with Dr. Vu who is the D-Service doctor on the floor right now. She thought there was a chance that I could still be done with my chemo by Sunday night even with a late start... I hope she is right! This afternoon I had my 11th lumbar puncture (only 5 more to go!). Thank you to all that read my post from this morning and prayed that it would go well. Sheena is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for leukemia and she had done 3 of my LPs up to this point, they were hands down the best ones that I have had. She was kind enough to come up to 12 and do the procedure for me even though she was assigned to other patients on the 10th floor. She has been wonderful to me and said to page her for my next one as well. She is even willing to do it outpatient if she is available, she is such a blessing to me during a very difficult time in my treatment. I have to lay flat for 1-2 hours after the procedure so I took a little nap. Other than that my day has been spent reading, watching TV, and walking laps around the 12th floor. Louis and I did venture outside for a little so I could get some fresh air, but with it being so hot and having to wear my contact isolation gown and gloves, I didn't last too long.

Just for kicks, I thought that I would share something from yesterday with you...

This is what we found in the closet when we were unpacking our things yesterday.
This is me attempting to try it out...
It kept sliding across the floor while I was trying to use it. It's the little things like this that keep us laughing. I think that I will just stick to my walks around the 12th floor.
