"Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love. Like your name, O God, your praise reaches to the ends of the earth; your right hand is filled with righteousness." Psalm 48:9-10
Katrina had her blood work done in Katy again this AM. Her white blood count is in the normal range and her hemoglobin, although it is always a bit low is up for her. Her platelet count continued to come up and was at 67 this AM. In order to start chemo again on Tuesday, it will need to be at least 80 (normal is 130-400). She is feeling good today. After the labs were done, we went up the freeway an exit and walked around the mall again where it is nice and cool. She is napping right now so I decided to write an update. She will go to see Dr. Kantarjian on Tuesday with the intent to be admitted for round #5 of chemo. Please pray that her counts are up and ready to go. The odd numbered courses tend to be a little harder on her so we appreciate your prayers in advance for all to go smoothly next week. One particular concern is that the neuropathy in her hands does not go to her feet. One drug in particular that she will get is the culprit-- so please ask the Lord's protection on her feet. She has felt some tingles in her feet recently and so we have that concern. She is taking a medication to help with the neuropathy. Pray she enjoys her time over the holiday weekend with friends and being able to go to church this week- she is looking forward to it! Lori

So glad to hear that the counts seem to be cooperating so that you can begin round #5 as scheduled on Tuesday. You are going strong, girl! I will pray especially hard about the neuropathy.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy this nice long weekend with Louis, your Mom, and many friends.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.

On This Trinity Sunday:
ReplyDeleteRomans 8:37-39
"...in all things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of god that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Peace and healing, Katrina.
