Cinco de Mayo
Katrina had her blood labs done in Katy this AM. The good news was the increased white blood cells-they are in the normal range and she has a good hemoglobin of 11.2 (normal range 12-16). Her platelet count came up a bit but is still quite low. In order to begin course 4 of her chemo that will need to come up a lot. She appreciates your prayer for the platelet level to increase. Also please pray she has no problems with any bleeding while the platelets are low. She will have blood drawn on Friday AM to see how her counts are. She is also having body aches today so she hasn't felt her best. Her grandma is here from Iowa and that is a huge bright spot. Grandma made her famous chicken and mashed potatoes for dinner- a big hit! As always, your prayers are so appreciated. Lori

Yea...so glad you got your favorite Grandma meal...that's our favorite, too!! I laughed when I saw you had that as your first meal from her. I'll be praying for everything to be where it needs to be for Course 4. If you get bored, have Grandma do a little dance for you :)

Dear Sweet Katrina,
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing to have you mom and grandmother there with you!
Last night at Bible Study Leslie prayed for you and your precious family.
I was reading an article in People magazine about a couple who started a school for children with cancer. Their daughter won her battle with Leukemia! The article was very encouraging to me :o)
"O, Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You and praise Your name, for in perfect faithfulness You have done marvelous things, things planned long ago." ~Isa. 25:1
