Happy Mother's Day!

"She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."
Proverbs 31:25-31

These verses are the perfect description of both my mom and grandma. They have both been a huge part of my walk as a Christian and an example of what it means to be a godly woman. I cannot think of a better example than either of them... I am blessed!

Today we went to church (always a blessing for me to be able to go), had a yummy brunch, relaxed, ordered Thai food for dinner, and of course ended the evening with some Ritter's.

Tomorrow we head back to MD Anderson for my admission for course 4. I will also be having a bone marrow aspiration and biopsy. Please pray that I am able to relax through it and that they will be easily able to get the fluid they need (this has been a problem sometimes which causes them to have to go in again in another area). Since admission takes a quite a while I will more than likely start my chemo late into the night... depending on when it gets started, I should finish late Friday night or Saturday morning. We will keep things updated on here as much as possible. Thanks for your prayers!

  5. Colossians 2:6-7
"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness."

What a blessed time to be together as family, with your Mother and Grandmother, and Mother-in-Law on Mother's Day. Our prayers flow out for you, Katrina, as you face the next treatment. God bless you.
