"For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies."
-Psalm 108:4
Today Louis and I went to MD Anderson to check my blood work and see Dr. Kantarjian. My white count was up (enough that I didn't even have to wear a mask out of the hospital!) and my platelets were up from Friday, but still have a long way to go. My hemoglobin was on the boarder for needing another transfusion. Dr. Kantarjian gave me the choice to get a transfusion or not depending on how I was feeling (he thinks it will stay the same or start to go up since my other counts are recovering). I have been a little tired, but not enough to make me want to spend the rest of the day at MD Anderson waiting for blood. I passed on the transfusion and am hoping the counts look good on Wednesday. Dr. Kantarjian also scheduled me to come back next Monday, the 19th to start course 7. Please pray that over this week my counts will recover and be where they need to be by Monday. Although I wish we were sticking to the 21 day schedule, Monday is only postponing admission by a couple days. I am so thankful my counts are up... I even went to Target today and it was glorious! I have always liked Target, but everywhere is better after being stuck at home for over a week!

ReplyDeletePsalm 51:10-12
"Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit to
sustain me."
Prayers and blessings, Katrina.
(My daughter will be happy to hear you enjoyed your trip to Target, since she works
