Full House

"Then you will know that I am the Lord; those who hope in me will not be disappointed."
-Isaiah 49:23

Sorry for the lack in posts recently. My mom and dad got in yesterday from my cousin's wedding, they actually beat me home! My oncologist here in Katy was closed yesterday so I needed to go to MD Anderson for my blood work. Louis wasn't able to to take me so I asked a sweet friend and co-worker to take me. I had some signs that my platelets were getting lower and was fairly sure that I would need a transfusion so I warned Kathryn it would be a long day. Little did know, I would need platelets AND 2 units of blood. They fit me in at 3:30 in the transfusion unit so Kathryn and I settled in for what would be a long day. We got to talk and laugh quite a bit and the time passed quickly. I am so thankful for such wonderful friends like Kathryn who will spend 12 hours with me at the hospital! Oh, and did I mentioned she also made us dinner for that night and the night before. She is amazing!

Like I mentioned earlier my dad is here for the week... unfortunately we didn't do too much today since my white count is still quite low. I am hoping that when I do blood work tomorrow that we will see it start to go up so we can get out and do some things later this week. Thanks for your continued prayers!
