Surgery Time

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus."
-Philippians 4:6-7

As surgery gets closer, I am struggling a little with anxious thoughts about the surgery. I know that the surgeon is highly qualified, I couldn't be at a better place than MDA, it is a fairly simple surgery, and God will be with me through it all, but going under for them to cut into my neck just makes me nervous! I went to MDA today for my anesthesia assessment appointment. Basically I sat in a room for about 5 minutes with a nurse answering questions and getting information that all could have been done over the phone, oh well. I did find out that my surgery is scheduled for 11:00 am on Monday. During surgery they will remove some of the lymph nodes near the nodule and send them to pathology. The surgeon said she should have results in about 5 days. Please pray that these results come back negative so I won't have to do radiation. Come Monday, I am ready to declare myself cancer FREE!
