"...but the church was earnestly praying to God for him." Acts 12:5
Your prayers help to make this time of trial with cancer one of strength in the Lord for us. Thank you again!
Katrina saw her in- patient doctor early this AM, followed by a follow-up visit from her very capable surgeon and then an Endocrine doctor. (We are so thankful she is getting her treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center.)They all had a part in her discharge from new prescriptions to exams so she could be discharged. She was so happy to hear the 5 AM blood work would be the last levels she would need. The night before, at 10 PM her blood just didn't want to come out of her veins. The night nurse finally had to call and ask for a "talented" person to come and help get blood. Poor Katrina, she was tired, sore from surgery, sore from being stuck for blood and then had to patiently wait until almost mid-night to have her labs done.
She got home late morning. She was fairly sore all day and did make use of some pain meds her doctor prescribed. She will need to go in Thursday for more blood labs. Next week she will see her leukemia and endocrine doctors plus her surgeon. At that time she will find out what the pathology report shows on the lymph nodes that her surgeon removed. The ones on the sides of the thyroid looked fine on the Scan but the ones behind the thyroid that don't show up on a scan looked suspicious so the surgeon removed all those. That may mean she will need the radiation. We may even know more by the end of this week.
That is the overview. I will let Katrina write more in detail when she is feeling better. Thank you for continuing to stand with us in prayer. Lori
